Understanding the Marketing Funnel, Part 2

I've just published Part 2 of my marketing funnel series, focusing on why most funnels fail and how you can fix yours.

In Part 1, I explored the basics of marketing funnels and the stages prospects move through. Now in Part 2, I dive deeper into the common mistakes that break even well-designed funnels:

  • Trying to sell too soon before building trust
  • Neglecting the crucial middle of the funnel where relationships develop
  • Overlooking retention strategies for existing customers
  • Missing key touchpoints in the customer journey

The biggest insight? Effective marketing follows the natural progression of relationships—you wouldn't propose before saying hello, and you shouldn't ask for a sale before establishing value.
